Profile

Max Zinnecker is a member of the Swedish Association of Architects and

runs his own architecture firm based in Stockholm. His work focuses on the fusion of traditional wood construction and contemporary parametric design. He teaches in the Sustainable Design Studio together with Sara Grahn at the KTH School of Architecture and forms part of Urban Future Organization.


Max received his degree in architecture from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland in 2002 where he studied under Greg Lynn and Peter Eisenman. After working in New York and Berlin he spent 5 years at Cloud 9, Enric Ruiz Geli’s firm in Barcelona. During that time the office achieved several awards and won numerous competitions. Amongst them are Hotel Habitat, the New York Aquarium at Coney Island and Villa Nurbs. The office also realized several innovative projects focusing on sustainability and digital fabrication technologies in Europe, Brazil, the United States and the Middle East. A selection of it was shown in the Italian Pavilion at the 2008 Architecture Biennale in Venice.
